We just wanted to take another moment to thank all our readers who visit us every day. On September 20th, 2012 we celebrated a milestone when we surpassed 1,000,000 page views. Well we have been so busy, we forgot to mention that we closed out 2012 having surpassed 1.5 million visits. That's well over 500,000 visits in roughly 3 months. We are very proud and we could not get here without you all! We wish all our readers a wonderful 2013 full of flightsim addons! And as always, we will be here to break the news!

We are only paid by our advertisers. Adsense will just pay you pennies and is disturbing everybody with uninteresting links not related to our FS Market.
Our traffic datas are only sent to our advertisers. And they remain confidential.
We are not cocky. We only exist thanks to your support.

Numbers confidential? For what or whom? For us? Rediculous, it's us who gave you the amount of hits, so why keep it confidential to us, the community. You stated it yourself: "We are very proud and we could not get here without you all!" So why not being transparant with us? And 1 million hits in 2 years and suddenly half a million in 3 months...sorry for being such an unbelief, but I'm not buying it this way.
On the other hand, don't get me wrong, you guys are running a great website and deliver great work to the community. Just asking myself whoes benefit it is for not being transaprant to the community about the amount of hits. Just makes me suspicious. Sorry for that, maybe it's my job that makes me think this way.
Please don't hate me, I'm just wondering here.

I totally confirm these figures.
Another proof comes from our advertisers. They receive monthly stats and they are stil with us after a year (and more for some of them).
But we are not publishing here these datas because we also have competitors and there is no reason to give them what they are not giving us.

Ok, I see. But why not show something you're proud of? And competitors? Do you actually see running a blog as a competition with others? Please explain what benefit your "competitors" will get if you were transparant on your numbers. I don't understand. Paul...
Yes, there is a competition between us, a very hard one actually, since there are a lot of blogs and wbsites now.
If they have a precise idea of our traffic, they can adapt, they have informations on the gap between them and us.
And i don't think Avsim, FAS or ASN give their figures neither.

It's just about the amount of hits we're talking here, like a counter f.i. Other numbers concern no one, you're absolutely right on that one! Ok, fair enough. Let it be and keep up the good work.

It's not an attempt to brag or anything. But we do like to give some sort of insight to our readers on how far we have come. With every milestone we hit I personally like to say a little thanks. But publishing our numbers directly is just something we don't do. Its a business minded aspect. And as Dom also mentioned all the other main sites do not publish their numbers either. And as a great fair ammount of revniue is derived from sites like ours, avsim, etc. it's best to keep this information among those who pay for it. Also i have found counters to be horrably inaccurate anyway. And if the numbers were false, I wouldnt bother with this blog and neither would Dom. We have wifes, kids, jobs, other hobbies... As i am sure you know, this sort of work is very time consuming. But I always give my best here and try to improve myself with this blog because of just how well we are doing. I love our brand AirDailyX and as long as people keep coming, i'll keep working and devoting the time.
Nicely said. For Paul and me personal, hitaccount ok, all other numbers confidential. To the other Paul I would like to say I understand his disbelief but don't understand the fuzz he's making out of it.
