FSX. Unlimited flights in wonderful places. C.R.M. is a huge area, one of the largest ever made by Orbx, with same qualities than NA BLUE sceneries. But what's bad ? What's good ?
First, C.R.M. makes the perfect junction with Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies. In this new scenery, you will find all famous natural sites : Yellostone, Grand Teton, Craters of the moon, Newberry national volcanic monument, Big southern Butte etc.
The original downloadable file has a weight of 4,1 gigabytes.
The custom relief definition is based on Holger Sandmann famous meshs (well, i suppose ?).

The bad :
* Unless you have a DSL connection of 1 or 2 mb/sec, the download time is about 2 hours or more.
* Of course, 450 airfields and airports have been "upgraded" with new buildings and textures, some intenational terminals have been totally rebuilt but they still have the old FSX defaut airports look.
Considering the size of C.R.M., more than 500 nauticals from west to east, some simmers would have liked at least two or three brand new airports, especially some mid-size airports, where you can fly a Boeing or an Airbus.
Orbx had the time to design these new airports in the meantime. Instead of this, they kept working on Washington airfields.

The good :
* For VFR flights, the place is limitless. Hundreds of flights to plan with hundred of textures and seasonal changes.
* For a lot of simmers, foreigners, this is probably the first time we can discover these regions in a virtual world with such amount of details.
* As usual with Orbx, if you have an average speed processor, framerate is not a problem. On a core quad 2,33 ghz, framerate will usually reach 20-25 fps and more. Of course, a full autogen plus traffic plus autogen plus AI utility will start to slow down performances on this kind of machine.
