What we have here is a very important part of the aircraft. But as to what type of aircraft it might be is anyone's guess... I will say this: it looks like it might be part of a biz jet! Could it be? Carenado is the type of company that likes to work from scratch. I doubt they are using this model, but interesting nonetheless...

Actually Dandre, you may be right. The Citations gear doors tend to open more to a ~40 degree angle from the main stantion. Good call my friend!

Why on earth would Carenado spend money on someone else's model when they clearly have in-house capability to model something from the ground up, which is always easier than using someone else's work.

It is often easier to start from scratch than try to improve a premade model. Often different modellers have different workflows etc. which can be quite confusing.
