P3D. Here is a developer I personally admire. LatinVFR has come quite a very long way since their first products. But what's important here is with every release, the quality just keeps getting better and better. The mere fact that the team choose to completely rework their biggest project is proof that there is much passion indeed in the efforts of this team. Dom has already brought us shots in FSX, now come explore MIA in the world of P3D!
No everything Dom has said about Miami mirrors my own thoughts and opinion. So i'll refrain from rambling further and let you enjoy the shots! Hope I took enough!
Sorry no AI! Had to do a re-install a couple weeks ago and I haven't gotten to it yet. Also, I have used Drzewiecki Design's Miami City 2012X. You can see the buildings in the far background. Both sceneries pair very well together and I highly recommend both for the most realistic feel.

The FPS is great in this product. Latin VFR is a great developer, I hope they continue to develop USA airports
Great screenshots!
Is there a problem with the alpha channel on night textures:

Looks like someone has been going nuts with red graffiti ;-)
Much better screenshots guys. Great review.
However I feel LatinVFR just rush things. The quality might be better than V1, but V1 WASN'T even freeware quality. The models & textures make me cringe, not that I could do better but they are charging for this, I'm not.
I hope they redo/newly develop the big Latin American, Central American and Caribbean airports in preparation for FTX Global which has now appeared on the Orbx product front page listed as 'soon'. These are in serious need for this kind of quality work. They do tropical region airports so well...perhaps after that, they could do other tropical region airports around the world e.g. Asia-Pacific etc. The choices are abundant in large airports in need of quality there.
Ultimately, I'd support Latin VFR for the very reason Dandre states in that they are a progressive developer with talent, true enthusiasm and passion in what they do and improvement with each new development. I don't support any developer, as some suggest, just to have more developers (new or old, good or bad), but I do support companies like this who do try and who do successfully improve progressively. But that's just the way market forces work as we all know. Latin VFR is one of the great success stories in just that and I'll definitely be buying Miami International...its a big hub I have wanted done well for some time for flights to Latin America, Caribbean and Europe and this looks more than fine. Congrats on Miami LatinVFR, you have my respect, admiration and support and keep up the great work you're doing! Hope to see and buy some of the above region International airports in the mix in future. Thank you! You are a great contribution to the wider flight sim community and an example in how far you have come!
Cheers,
Sid
Hardly gonna worry Flightbeam or Flytampa is it? I'd love a good MIA, but i'm not sure this is it.
anyone else has floodlight flickering at the airport?
Dom - Do you recommend abandoning fsx for P3D? Is it more stable? Better performance? I just replaced my computer - havent installed fsx yet so I was thinking now is the time to make the switch (if ever). Care to opine?
Dom does not use P3D. You can ask the author of this article his opinion on your question if you like.
Lol :-)
FS9 user really excellent product
Sorry I didnt post any FS9 shots. Still reinstalling after a system overhaul.
ok....ok....I deserve that. DAndre....any thoughts?
Hi x-wind,
Indeed with P3D, I only have to use 1 tweak and thats the fullscreen vsync. Besides that, P3D is extremely stable. I haven't seen an OOM in at least 3 months and only get CTD's when there is a direct issue with an aircraft or scenery.
There are also scenery options in P3D that most have to do .CFG tweaks to implement. In fact, as a die hard FS9 guy, I am having almost s much fun in P3D but with lite jets and props.
I will say this, if LM releases an X64 update, FSX will die out fast.
All I can really say is you have to try it out for yourself. But I am very happy with it.
And when that 64bit comes to P3D, all the OOM troubles of fsx could be over.
That is the dear hope as Lockheed Martin holds the entire balance of flight simulation in it's hands...
If they don't, people might get desperate, start eating each other, and start using X-Plane...
Thanks for the info D (can I call you D?). Sounds as if P3D has its own set of idiosyncrasies that I will need to conquer. After spending years mastering my FSX trade-craft, I am not sure I am ready to start over with P3D training just yet. Thanks again for the wisdom - never would have known without it.
