Having problems with Aerosoft Anchorage and this scenery, the manual states:
The easiest method to achieve compatibility is to uncheck Aerosoft's "Anchorage-Terrain" entry in the FSX scenery library menu. This deactivates all incompatible files though also its extended photoreal coverage area. Should you prefer to keep that photoreal coverage then you'll need to manually deactivate a number of files in the {FSX}\Aerosoft\Anchorage-Terrain\scenery folder.
What files do I need to manually deactivate in that folder, can anybody help?
Well it would help if I could access that forum, but I cannot. I have no idea why my ISP blocks DevFuse IP Board forums, but because of this I am unable to see the information you refer to. Can anybody please help?
I got floating houses during my Shoreham tests a few weeks ago but once i restarted my flight, this strange bug just vanished. We will try to fly over Skagway tomorrow to check it. Thanks Dom ADX
Dude, take a chill pill! It's not like someone is trying to specifically blame anyone, they just had floating houses, and seemingly never had these before.
Does anyone know of a fix?
And I too can't access the info detailing Anchorage X compatibility, so any help on what files need to be deactivated where would also be greatly appreciated!
Autogen buildings do not even have an attribute to be placed above ground level. They cling to the ground but if an area is reloaded they may jump up in the air.
Have both installed perfectly, what I did was go into the C:\where ever you installed here\ORBX\FTX_NA\FTX_NA_SAK05_SCENERY\scenery. Folder, looked for anything that was PANC and for example. ADE_FTX_SAK_PANC.BGL
and made it this ADE_FTX_SAK_PANC.BGLOFF ----------------------------- and this ADE_FTX_SAK_PANC_CVX.bgl
and made it this ADE_FTX_SAK_PANC_CVX.bgloff
all works and meshed nicely. not sure if that's 100% the way but works just ducky for me
Hope this helps, also if I left them on FSX would crash
Dom, you should really remove these unofficial tips because they seem wrong and Orbx customers know they should seek support from the Orbx forums and not make feeble excuses about not having access to them. I bought SAK and also have PANC working perfectly as per Holger's clear instructions on the forums and in the manual.
Listen mate, I'm a NZ National living in Shanghai and read this blog every day. This blog is one of the few that I can read, the ISPs censor a lot over here.
So if you're so fortunate to have access to the info, be a sport and share it here! Cheers.
I don't give a flying kiwi sheep who you are. Use the Orbx forums for support you lazy bum, and don't expect a solution on ADX who is not obliged to provide it.
I've been on business in Thailand dozens of times and I was always able to access the Orbx forums there. You seem to be full of it "mate".
Uncheck the Aerosoft's "Anchorage-Terrain" entry in the FSX.This deactivates all incompatible files though also its extended photoreal coverage area. If you prefer thier Photoreal scenery your forced to log into ORBX forums for their list of files that must be deactivated... They must mean turned "OFF"..
cough, cough UTX Alaska your ok with FTX central activated with in zone, but outside the zone you may prefer UTX so deactivate the FTX Cetral from NA to default..

There is a compatibility forum at the Orbx forums which discusses PANC compatibility with detailed information and screenshots by Holger Sandmann.
Perhaps their support forums are the place to ask this rather than here at ADX?

That looks soooo amazing but I'm soooo sick of spending any more money on add-ons. Too bad.
Well someone at Orbx didn't do their homework as I get floating buildings over at Skagway (PAGY):

Funny thing is that when I start a flight at Skagway the buildings are fine, they only seem to float when I arrive from another airport.
To think I paid over US$ 40 for floating buildings!

The floating buildings (autogen) is a known FSX bug and there is no fix for it. It happens with other scenery addons as well.
If I get floating autogen buildings I just refresh the scenery library.
floating buildings is a FSX bug, stop trying to blame it on developers
Talk to your (stupid) ISP perhaps?

Ohhhhhhhhhh been flying around this and its just pure ART, thank you Holger and everyone for this, I feel like a kid in a candy shop!

You must have been smoking something, renaming files in FTX_NA_SAK05_SCENERY\scenery is totally the wrong way to do things!

Shanghai is in Thailand, well done! If he could access the forums I'm sure he would, and the only person full of anything is you...va te faire foutre!
Yup, Shanghai is in Thailand, you're obviously geographically challenged MATE!
