FDC : Just a small tip

Very few news today, so i would like to tell you about FDC and how i have reactivated it yesterday. We still try to create a special page to compile all these small stips.

My problem started with my new computer. Windows 7 was configured with the UAC ON.

and of course, you cannot install Aerosoft FDC this way. The User Account must be disabled.

I try to find a solution on Aerosoft and OnCourse. And, of course, no answer, although this is a critical point in this installation.

Yesterday, fortunately, i found out this video explaining how to turn off the UAC.

And now, FDC works perfectly.

If you don't know this utility, it's providing pilot and co-pilot voices, with predefined checklist and many options for several aircrafts. The defaut Boeing 737-600/700/800 and 900 is included and, can work with the PMDG NGX after some adjustments.

Another great option is the possibility to insert real traffic sounds that will play during your flight if you select the proper frequency.

In Program Files, under Aerosoft \ FDC folder \ ATC Chatter ,

you can insert a WAV files. If you want to activate with frequency 123.00,

just create a sub-folder 12300 and include the file.

During your flight, you will just have to tune the Com frequency to 123.00 to  listen the real ATC...

A great option that i really missed until i fix the UAC problem.

You will find many frequencies in realtime or archives.

Files are in MP3 format so you will have to convert them in WAV.

Experiencing real traffic voices during a flight is a real enhancement !
