About a year ago, i catched an email on Fly Tampa's forum, about someone saying to George "great news for Dubai". I was pretty shure that F.T. has decided to redoo this scenery for FSX. But eventually, F.T has never confirmed this information. We know that George is working on Montreal. Maybe Martin is still working on Dubai ? After all, Aerosoft has announced months ago Dubai in their pre-order list ! That says, i wish good luck to EvolutionSim for their own work. But as i always said, it's a way to heavy task for a young team to design a large airport. in 75 % of the cases, the developer gives up. What a young team should do is asking for some help, and accept the support of an Aerosoft or FSADDON+ team. Dom
What will Aerosoft do? offer them to sell the scenery for a comission? that's not help. Let them do it and they needn't the help of a big corporation/company to do it.
OryxSim is providing technical support (non-commercial, so it won't be released through us) to this project. I've spent already well over a dozen hours with these guys.
I'm doing this because I believe such a project as Dubai can greatly stimulate flight simulation in the region, and it's of course fun to do.
While they still have to do about 90% of the project at minimum, they are very motivated, and there's clearly great cooperation between the two of them which is a big plus.
They're still very new to FSX development (and 3d modelling as a whole) and still have to a big learning curve in front of them. Best of luck to you guys, and I hope I'll be able to help along the way!
Distributors very well know the job. They can help you, give good advices, offer some extra developing times, or resources. They know very well their customers and quality criterias. It's priceless. We will see ! I am just happy right now to see all these new teams ; Airport guys, DeVinci, OryxSim, OrientalSim, Spectre..EvolutionSim. THATS GREAT NEWS FOR US ALL :)
