FSX. Sim-Wings has transformed a FPS hazard project into a pretty smooth scenery. A very special heavy airport partly dedicated to this small community of hard core cargo pilots.
AEROSOFT SIM-WINGS ANCHORAGE X
Installation : Very easy but daunting, due to the Aerosoft launcher.
File : 2,5 GB !
Manual : 34 pages, 21 in german and 12 in english.
Framerate : good but low- mid processors need adjustments. At main passengers terminal :
Carenado Skymaster / AESLite PANC traffic full / Mytraffic Lite full / autogen full = 9-11
PMDG NGX / AESLite PANC traffic Full / MyTraffic Lite full / autogen full = 8/11
PMDG NGX / AESLite PANC traffic empty / My Traffic Lite off / autogen normal = 10/13
configuration tested : Quadcore 2,33 / 8MB / ATI 5850 / 1 screen 1280 x 1024 x 32.
(REX installed, UT Alaska not installed, FSX.CFG partly optimized).

As i already said, Anchorage is a real challenge. The airport includes all real cargo aprons, Intl and regional terminals, hundred of maintenance hangars, general aviation aprons and even seaplane bases.
Also included, an animated train, a complex road traffic and an AFX/AFCAD for Ai traffics.
Interest of the airport ? Anchorage PANC is very well known platform in aviation especially in the past when aircrafts had to stop by to refuel. Ted Stevens Intl is still the 5th word cargo platform.
But in FSX world, mind that Anchorage is still an isolated place. Shorts flights can be planned to Dutch Arbour (Aerosoft) or canadian British-Columbia or Washington state but apart these destinations, people will have to fly many long hauls to enjoy this scenery... An other solution is to fly VFR in Alaska but Ultimate Terrain Alaska will be... imperative.
Sim-Wings team probably made several hard decisions in order to optimize the framerate. Maybe i am wrong but i think they had to sacrifice (partly) some front buildings and terminals textures quality. In the opposite, the ground textures and the night lights are irreproachable.
The bad :
* Framerate might needs some extra optimization or it doesn't make any sense to set a dualcore 2,66 GHZ as a minimal requirement.
* People are complaining about the train's horn.
The good :
* Realistic night lights and aprons textures.
* Lot of custom vehicules and eye-candies around hangars.
Some regional aircrafts obtained with Mytraffic Lite.
The famous Cargos aprons.
One of the seaplanes bases and the lake Hood, frozen in january.
Very effective night textures and lights. Many stains and cracks.
