FSX/P3D. Their names ? Colapicchioni, Barbati, Pacchioni. Designers, developers of another masterpiece. A high quality heavy airport is a (too ) rare event. Hush-hush, another hit coming in a few days.

Another hit?
Outstanding.
I wonder what that means as well.
I wonder why there are no videos out of it on YouTube.. Hopefully people will come to see how great this scenery looks!

Looks average to me. The default Vancouver isn't bad either but it runs 100 times faster.
I not much like al the green windows & lights. It looks not real.
All the buildings look bumpy & wrong.
Frame rate is stutters 2.
On my i5 run like a dream.
Your dreams full of OOMs too?
About the Out of Memories OOM encountered by some of us, including me, i can tell that they have totally disappeared once i checked FSDT forum. There is a Microsoft patch and many possible tweaks. But i admit there is still a few strange things, specialy during approach (from 10-15 nm). i am confident FSDT will improve things.
Maybe you should be more awake, if you have OOM. ;-)
The scenery doesn't have a memory leak, so it is more probably a "PEBKAC". Take care of your sliders, beware of HD textures, simultaneously active sceneries and you won't get out of memory. Ressources are limited.
Who cares about OOM. Bad texture art is what you should be worried about in this case. Very poor textures in my opinnion, compared to FlyTampa, ORBX, FSDG, LHSim, DDesign....
what's OOMs?
i stopped reading at "bad texture art". :-)
Microsoft patch???
Yes, it is a valid term, and in this case it is badly done. Perhaps you should be more aware of what a quality texture artist is, or is supposed to do.
Perhaps you should start making a point.
Good/bad isn't nearly one ;-)
I'll help you: "You prefer XYZ because developer ABC does..... [placeholder for plausible reasoning; don't use good or bad]"
Yes sorry !
here the link on FS Dreamteam.

But warning, this is for Win Seven / 64 bits mainly.
Dom
I just tried the demo.
It's not bad, but prehaps a little over rated. The grass is comical as is the night lightning. No AI shadows!!!! No snow textures.
But worst of all is the performance. I think only Aerosoft's Helsinki beats it for pure hard drive choking stuttering. Un-installed.
I tried it and it seems to help. I could now fly a circuit with the NGX (far enough the aircraft had to reload) and back without a OOM - before no chance. Hav eto try it on longer flights though....

Please try and report back!
Amen to that brother.
They really messed up the design on this airport. Flightbeam's Dumabi is 10 times more complex & runs fantastic.
Vancouver OOMs & stutters horribly.
The guy from FSDT seems to be arrogant. I was dumb enough to go right ahead I buy the scenery without looking at the scenery. All other FSDt airports run pretty well. I'm regreating buying it now :(
I understand what you mean. Airport sceneries, and pretty much all scenery design, is about providing realism. And in this case, the texture-work does not deliver the required realism IMO. OK I usnderstand photo-realism in texturing a building is not always possible. But this is where texture art comes in. That is to put the extra effort in producing the textures that provide this. Flytampa is the best example that comes to mind. If you look at many airport structures in FSDT's latest scenery you will immediately see very simplistic textures, some with mis-palced (or mis-scaled rather) bumping effects, wrong or too strong colors , and last but not least, very 'flat' night textures. Although one can provide some points on texture work, in the end it's all about the overall 'feel', and this is not easily described always. I feel that in this case, not enough care was given in this aspect.
OOM = Out of Memory
OOMs : multiple OOM !
Wow Wow..Gracious me...
Ok guys seriously is it really that bad? Sure, we can't; out of the box, fly in fly out of this Scenery uninterupted by or in fear of the dreaded Oom message at the moment. Let's agree, it will take some time to tweak our systems just right to accept this new technology.
Look...the I-phone came out and we brought, it had a number of issues and we or many have indulged are now have V5.
What I'm saying is don't miss what has been accomplished. We don't want to lose sight with the fact that this is the first scenery to produce effects rendered in the real world situation (dynamic shadowing/ shade casting, and reflective runways - ok the latter perhaps already in existence but to this degree?).
Surely, we should not expect to have all the bells and whistles. For heavens sake, look at the Oom issues we are all experiencing to date. I'm sure if we saw the attention to textures and details at the level enjoyed with FB PHX or A-Flight Helsinki, we would surely not be able to start up Fsx with the current CPU specs (talk about overload).
We should turn back and reflect from whence we had come. I'm not saying you should not be perplexed considering the investment you have made or that you anticipate making for this product as we have all been accustomed to finer "art worked textures" to justify such an expense. The scenery is asmazing outside of that. Notwithstanding and Comparatively, night lighting/textures take some adjusting, but I'm excited for where we are heading.
Be apart of the investment finincially or/and vocally and let us prepare for the Future of Flightsim with FSX or thru P3D evolution.
(By the way yes I've found the sweet spot for my Cpu using the posted forum reccommenation with modification but it took time - trial and error)
Another over-hyped airport, demo brought my PC to its knees for the first time
Flightbeam?? Dumabi?? Good lord....
I have a video out of it.
