FS9/FSX. Now this is another project everyone should be keeping their eyes on for 2013. FSDG and 29Palms are 2 development teams you really want to focus on in 2013. They are working on Deutchland X and it's a massive expanse covering the whole of Germany complete with landclass, autogen, and custom building and landmark objects. I personally love flying over the German landscape and this is sure to give it a huge visual bump. Just one question though... How will this get along with FTX Global?? Hey, check out these exciting screenshots!
Release expected this month!!

It'll be compatibel with FTX Global as well as with any other add-on such as UTX, GEX, VFR Germany, German Landmarks.
Simply keep it in the scenery library above the others ;-)
Best,
Lars

All those addons mentioned above together with fancy aircraft will cause a memory leak :)
Cheers!
OOM Deutchland 2013.
Now that is funny. Maybe we get an additional airport from special devs. And then the community tries to find out who gets the fastest OOM in FSX history.
You just gotta love speculation without any facts to back it up...
What is funny is that OOM seems to be in fashion now. After Helsinki and CYVR. You are barking on the wrong tree
Are you guys serious....it's Deutschland...not Deutchland!!!!!!!!!
Corrected!!!!!!!!!
Agreed, it's ridiculous now. I guess every new product like this will receive the OOM speculation from the idiots who don't understand the cause of the Helsinki and Vancouver OOMs.
You wouldn't blame any customer for the initially problems with EFHK, if you actually understand the particular cause.
(EFHK: initially no non HD textures available, no surrounding like ORBX, no shadows; no try before buy)
A single plane like NGX with setup within the fsx limits were enough to force the oom in D3D9/64bit environment. => excessive usage of HD textures without alternatives which lead to nearly doubled waste of VRAM virtual size.
The same result (OOM) doesn't mean the situations are automatically comparable.
True, but OOMs do not accompany every new scenery or plane. This OOM tirade from the community has spawned from CYVR and it's ridiculous to keep carrying on about it at this point, especially given we've had large scenery regions like this one already in sim, ORBX lead the charge on that and I have yet to experience an OOM from an ORBX scenery.
My point is, the frustrated noobs need to be quiet on passing judgement of the performance of a product until it's out, especially since the majority don't know why OOMs or a vast array of other performance issues happen anyways. Give it a chance before killing it!
To FSDG/29Palms, you have a future customer here! Keep up the good work!
