Airline2Sim announces two new collaborations for revolutionary new Q400 training product.
Ben Weston, CEO of Airline2Sim says, 'I'm really pleased to announce that we have gained the support of both Earth Simulations and Navigraph for our first product, a video type rating course for the Dash 8 Q400, taught by a real world Q400 pilot from one of the world's biggest operators of the type.
Navigraph have kindly authorised use of their charts which will be featured extensively in briefings for approaches and departures. Our Q400 pilot has repeatedly commended the accuracy and clarity of the Navigraph product and points out during the training that flying with up to date charts is absolutely vital to the safe and realistic operation of the aircraft.
We're delighted that Navigraph have supported us.
Of course, no type rating tutorial course is complete without beautiful and highly realistic scenery and it doesn't come much better than Earth Simulations' stunning renditions of the island destinations of the Isle of Man and Guernsey, both of which feature as destinations in Airline2Sim's training.
Our real pilot lived on the Isle of Man for a year and was blown away by the attention to detail, down to the presence of King Williams' College at the edge of the airport, an imposing old building that looks a bit like something from a Harry Potter film! Also Guernsey's 1400m runway focuses the mind, especially when the ILS glideslope is unserviceable as it is during our training which forces us to do a Localiser DME approach.
We're delighted to have Earth Simulations on board as supporters of the training.
Our Q400 training will be released in three stages - Cadet, First Officer and Captain. Our first stage is now in the final stages of production and we're about to begin shooting on the second, which covers winter ops, raw data SIDS and STARS, NDB approaches, de-icing, low visibility ground operations and much, much more. We're very excited about putting a real Q400 pilot into the flight deck of a highly detailed FSX add-on and feel that real world training is the key to getting the most out of your time spent flying.”
