FSX. By no means do I want to point the barrel of my blunderbuss at QualityWings. But I have to say, for such an upstanding and talented team, things have really been on the quiet side for 2013. We are already past the midway point of the year which puts the BAE-146 way past the already delayed release time-frame. There are also rumors floating that the 787 is not currently in production. I won't buy into that rumour but I must say, given how quiet the team is on development statuses and given the fact that many folks purchased the Avro which is only half of a promised product, the question begs: What's the deal here guys?

I am still waiting patiently on the still undelivered BAe series.
I'm wondering too.. this is the only properly modeled 780.. inside and out.
I think the choise of including a virtual cabin has postponed the initial release.
Well summer is the time when people take vacations, so I believe some developers are on vacation.
I am fed up of waiting for the BAE146 version of the aircraft ,12 mth approx of having my money for half the advertised package ,maybe time to contact trading standards for the next step .this has gone on long enough and I know no longer trust them to deliver the complete package ,small team or not that is not my problem it is theirs ,they give approx dates which they can not or have no intention of meeting ,time to obtain some professional advice regarding this matter
I've been here before - the non VC Fokker 100 some of us may remember. This time I bought the Avro on the basis that if the 146 is never released I can live with it. Won't be buying the 787 until a 146 appears though!!
No wonder devs don't ever say any dates and it's because of you people! Sure you and many others want want want... But there are many other things in life that we can do while "waiting". Even if it never comes out!
Why we dont contact to the developers directly we are waiting this plane since 2010!!!!
So shady what they did with the 146!
@Vee One
There's one important distinction - The developer advertised the full package and the customer purchased it on the reliance that it will arrive in reasonable time, because otherwise it would be a breach of contract/misleading representation. I would consider 12 months to be near the limit of what "reasonable time" is, given how similar the 146 is to the RJ and QWing's previous statements.
I am waiting patiently. While I would love to have their 787 in my hangar, it's not at the top of my list right now.
It's weird they decided to release the box version with only the avro variants, yet it's called "Ultimate 146 collection".
Well, it would be nice to have the Avros completed soon, but I can wait. OK, I won them so it's another thing. But I can fully understand you guys.
sorry I paid the amount of money that they asked for their ultimate BAE146 add on , on the understanding that the BAE146 version would follow in a reasonable time, you may have money you are prepared to throw away , I have worked hard for that money ,and would rather have given it to charity than some devious company ! they have simply not completed the contract that we entered into when I purchased the ultimate 146 ,they did not take half the money ,they took it all,I do not like sharp practice in any form or for any reason ,
I would love to see PMDG do the 787.
just to be a total pain in the but if you ,look at the amount of money involved it is huge ,let us say 1500 add ons sold at £30 equals £45.000 pound.s,it is reasonable to argue half delivered value £22,500 ,overcharge £22500 ,I would like £22500 for nothing ,it is not just you or me it could be thousands of simmers!
Peter ... you have trouble with your comma and spaces. You do - example ,see - whereas it should be - example, see. Nitpicking? Yes but if I find your clumseyness irritating then many others will too.
Getting back to the topic. Fokker, AirSimmer and now, apparently, the BA146. What do all these have in common? Flight1 that's who.
Yes... I recognized enough issues with the QW Avro to get back out of the deal while I still could. I used the F1 returns service...
I don't buy into half deals like this any more...
Got stung with the airsimmer.

Live Wire sorry about that, but unfortunately 8yrs ago I was involved in a serious RTA accident on the M4, some woman wasn't watching the road and drove into the back of my car at about 60 mph whilst i was standing still, waiting to pull off the motorway , the resulting accident damaged the base of my spine broke my right shoulder and right hand ,so i know live in non stop pain on very strong pain killers ,with serverly restricted movement in my back and hands ,so I am sorry if my disability offend you, note to self must try harder
no not exactly one of the modelers had nothing to do because they were in the texturing and systems phase so he made i cabin in his free time that is what happens with most of the features in airplanes now some one has some free time
Pay no heed to that muppet mate.
Now I'm keenly awaiting the BAe 146 from these guys as much as the next person.
however..
Let's get real. I paid for and received an excellent quality RJ 70/85/100 package, that to be honest has got more use on my sim than the majority of payware purchases I make. It works well, was a very fair price, and includes three already-released variants in the single price (take note, PMDG & CS). The BAe146 variants would be nice, and whilst promised are not the reason I made the purchase last year. I have a fully working, bug-free and excellent quality aircraft sitting in my virtual hangar - this makes this case vastly different to the DA Fokker 100 fiasco (which, I am still desperately keen to purchase when they finish the VC).
BAe146 vs RJ = some different avionics, slightly modified cockpit layout, new flight dynamics, minor mods to the existing 3D model and skins. I reckon I got 85% of what I paid for, and to be honest I'm happy with that.
Having a serious bitch about a relatively minor issue is far more likely to make the developers loose interest in releasing these finals mods to market. Unhappy about the outcome? Your own bloody fault for buying "prematurely" in the first place. Enjoy what you've got, and think of the BAe 146 variant as the icing on the cake.
Ugh. How many times will it take for people to learn?
Never buy an incomplete addon on the promise that the developer will upgrade it or add features X, Y and Z at a later date, because more often than not it takes years before the promise is fulfilled, if at all.
They've got your money now, what incentive do they have to release the 146? All the work they may (or may not) be putting into the 146 is essentially for nothing as you've already paid.
If you buy an addon, buy it for what's included. Don't buy it for what the developer promises to include at a later date, and don't complain when you don't get it. Also, good luck with trading standards, I'm sure QW will be quaking in their boots.
Lets all remember - this is a world wide site with English as the required language. For those that do speak English as a native language, we must always make allowances for posters who contribute using less than perfect English. When a valid point is to be made, it really is not an issue as to whether the gramatical context is correct. Please also remember we also have many colleagues who love FS and have disabilities that reduce keyboard dextirity, so either way, commenting on the correct use of English on a WW site is somewhat dismal - and please excuse my use of punctuation, as I'm sure my post can also be ripped to shreds by someone with a greater grasp of English than I have.
Is this an ADX rant coming on? Lets all pull together and enjoy FS in whatever way we do, whether its for RW procedures practice or for flying in external view and watching the wings move - let's just enjoy it!
To Live Wire - Best laugh of the day when you display your own clumsiness when attempting to use English language properly and yet you somehow manage to criticise another poster, and yet do so with no sense of irony! LOVED IT!!
Peter - I'm sorry you've been required to justify some punctuation errors - does everyone who fails to live up to the high expectations of Live Wire need to account for themselves? Probably not....
Please can we please get back to the subject in hand, which was a promise of a product which is as yet not forthcoming. I'm so glad Live Wire managed to get a return on his/her transaction, but please everyone, do not purchase their 787 until the 146 is completed.
Also remember - the FS community didn't demand the 146 - QW promised it as part of the transaction when we purchased the RJ. Qualitywings now need to deliver on their overdue promise or risk dragging both themselves and Flight1 into disrepute as a direct consequence of their failure to deliver.
QW have obviously spent hundreds of hours of development on the 787, I think we would all agree that it would be a loss to FS if this all collapses. As D'Andre posts, "What's the deal?" and on what timescale is the 146 product planned - or has the 146 been shelved? I paid for it a long time ago - it's time now for an honest update or a 50% refund.
According to a 5 day-old post from the devs on the QW support forum, the BAE-146 variants are currently in beta testing. So I don't think they dropped the ball just yet.
There are enough grammar nazis out there already... no point joining them. Given his explanation, maybe a small apology is in order?

Go outside, get some sun, meet a girl. The dumb Avro will be here soon enough.
Good news then - cash ready for the 787 when it comes too!!
