MSE 2.0 California available!

FSX/P3D. Ah! Finally my home state makes it's way into the legendary MegaScenery 2.0 series! The quality of the photo images are second to none! The guys at PCAviatior Australia have been very gracious and hand sent over the files for my ADX FirstLook. However, upon looking at the number of downloads plus the total download size, I nearly freaked! This product is HUGE! So much so, I am fearful of the remaining space on my 500GB SSD! No worries though, i'm working on it..

Come on Laurent... Throw some 3d automation in there or whatever you call your technology again.... That would be a killer...

It looks great but ni autogèn makes this scenery sadly a no go 4 me

Autogen-ing photoreal accurately on such massive scale is extremely difficult and massively time consuming. I know FranceVFR have some system for doing this automatically, but they are still working on much smaller areas as far as I can see. Any scenery designer knows it would take a very long time (years) to autogen such a massive area by hand, hence not probably practical. I tend to find that autogen over photoreal sometimes covers up the natural variance below. Autogen objects are limited in variation. If it could be done that easily, someone would have probably done it well before now I am guessing?

Horrible water masking

Use a program called Junction link, it's freeware. I had the same problem with Orbx scenery on my SSD filling it up so I offloaded some of the Orbx onto a spinning disc with this program which by the way is not mine.
You end up with FSX not knowing that the scenery is not on the FSX drive and it works perfectly.

Sorry, I meant "Junction Link Magic"

I understand autogen for such a large area is humanly impossible, but I would not use such a product, not matter how good it looks. I'd rather have a small area near the airport with photoreal and autogen and landclass based scenery elsewhere, otherwise we're back to FS2000. Downloading and compiling USGS imagery is easy even I can do this. The tough part is the autogen annotation.

You dint need to use Junction Link Magic with this scenery. You just copy it wherever you want to on any drive (even an external USB if you want) and simply update the Scenery Library entry.
