CoolSky/McPhat: Fokker 50. Sup?

FSX/P3D. Whats the deal with the Fokker 50? We were getting an influx of updates regarding this project from the beginning of the year and suddenly the updates just stopped. I really thought we would have some interior VC renderings by now. Hope all is well with the project but throw us a bone guys!

Working for an airline that has flown the Fokker 50, I know the aircraft is quite more advanced than one would think at first sight. At its time it was by far the most advanced turboprop on the market. In fact it was considered to be a decade ahead of its time...
Perhaps Coolsky/McPhat discovered the systems simulation to be more complex than anticipated. I hope they continu to work on it and do a proper F50 simulation. If they do, they can take all the time they need.
Also have a still hope they do the F70/F100 one day, since I've lost every hope DA will ever finish theirs.

Coolsky makes buggy airplanes. complex and nice, but really buggy ala the DC-9.

Bruce, I don't know what you're talking about saying the 9 is buggy. What are you seeing there that makes you say that?

Incredible VC & nightlighting, absolutely top FDE, Avsim Gold Award winner...

That's fine if it's your view, but back it up if you're going to say something like that, so other people can see why you're putting it down.

Damn good - Watch Froogle's DC-9 review on youtube and find out.

I agree with Airlifter.

In our sim world there are two challenges: graphics and programming. If you want to make a quality airplane, perhaps graphics is the easiest one.

Programming to get a product as real as possible is the part that demands most work and Knowledge. In the Fokker the graphics seems to be done, but programming will take more time, as always.

Anyway, it is a plane I am waiting for.

If you were paying attention to the McPhat forums, you would recall that Terrence stated clearly in the past that they would no longer be doing repaints of released 3rd party aircraft. They barely were able to release the PMDG 747 repaints, why would they waste their time and resources on the 777?

Bruce--I don't know which of the videos you're referring to, but the one I say he talks about getting low fps. That was also before sp1 was released and it now absolutely outperforms the ngx from an fps point of view. I don't know what other bugs you're talking about, and also Froggle is great for doing reviews with enthusiasm but he really doesn't have much depth on the aviation tech side of things--often his procedures are not accurate that he uses.
