I hope this kid doesn't have anything to do with the development of the cockpit systems, seriously - I am not going to buy an addon developed by kids/teenagers/ people under 25.

I'm just seeing:

07/06 Dom Mason's IP adress now blocked by Avsim. No more access to forums..(ADX)

Are you serious? If this is true then we should start a revolution against Avsim!

and why exactly is that? completley aside from the fact that daniel is only doing paint work

but i'm curious

What if I told you some of the best modellers are in their early 20s? :O

...and I am talking from experience!

Don't shoot people down like that. Age is only a number after all.

P3, tell me, would you step in a Boeing 737-800 with a 24 year old first officer to catch a holiday flight?

Sorry I posted this here, as I now see it has nothing to do with the current thread. I should try to put my brain in gear before I start typing.

I'm not sorry and create your own name to post here instead of pretending to be me, the true Anonymizer.

I take medication and sometimes I come across a bit strong when they wear off. I didn't mean it like it sounded.

I think P3 should calm down a little bit :)

My Avsim access seems restored now. Thanks a lot.

Uh, wow...

With the majority on this one p3...Your statement is idiotic at best. Age has nothing to do with ability, either you have talent or you don't.

Such a post just underlines that the blogposts about "Developer rants" here on ADX has a solid reason.

Even if Daniel would be a 4 year old child, I would not hesitste to get his repaints, cause he could then be regarded being a "wonder child".

BTW: I´m the system developer on the Twin Otter Extended at the age of 46, but some people regard me being childish when I "play" with not real existing aircraft on my PC.

You probably actually own addons developed by people under 25. Does it really matter how old the developer is? As long as they can walk the walk, let em at it. I swear P3,your posts embody the bitter side of flight simulation

I have already moderated out many of his trolling comments today. He keeps it up so will I.

@P3: Milviz developer, skilled in C++, DirectX, GDI/GDI+, and building skills in .NET and assembly as well as SSE2. Lead programmer on the Milviz F-86 at the age of 19. Now 20. Skill is not dependent on age.

And i should add that i know some guys who are even younger than me, and yet are far my superior, more comparable with proffessional software engineers. I take my hat off to them because they have been instrumental in bringing me to where I am now.

Don't feed the troll.

Heh, and here in Australia you're lucky to be accepted into the Air Force to fly the Hornets if you're going to be aged over 24 by the time your graduate into active flight service.

Most good programmers I've worked with are into it at like 16, like olypians, and in their prime at early twenties. Sure their social interaction skills might have room to grow, but their skills certainly don't.
