Wilco TBM850 incoming!

FSX/P3D. We'll i'll be damned... WilcoPub has just released a slew of previews of their own Socata TBM850 and I must say... Well I don't know what the hell to say about this. I am not a fan of Wilco/Feelthere products but i'll admit, i'm quite intrigued. I really love the visual model of the Carenado but the performance is honestly extremely disappointing and as such, I have left it in the hangar pending review/performance update. What i'll say about the Wilco: It does not look anything as good as the Carenado. But, they are promising a fully functional Garmin G1000 avionics suite (yes VNAV). So shit... what do I do? We will have it for the ADX FirstLook and compare this with the Carenado. Release date is set for:

Wilco Publishing announce the first in a brand new HiFi Simulations series : the TBM850 !

The TBM850 has been studied in-depth to provide the best to the PC pilot. Every tiny detail, every panel screw and rivet are meticulously depicted in 3D. Even the tyres have raised lettering and are grooved ! More cockpit functions than ever before. Super detailing in the cabins, cockpits and exteriors.

Cockpit arrays and instruments built by the best in the business bring you new levels of functionality and interactivity to make your flight experience rewarding and challenging. Flight dynamics programmed by real-world aviation engineers bring a new sense of reality to your virtual skies.

Above all, total realism has been the goal with this production and you get it.

Socata TBM850 - The fastest single-engine turboprop

Up to 320Kts, the TBM850 offers the cruise speeds typical of light jets with the efficiency and economy of a single-engine turboprop. The large propeller can be utilized as a powerful aerodynamic brake, allowing landing on extremely short strips and runways.

Built by DAHER-SOCATA (www.tbm850.com), the TBM850 is the perfect blend of BEAUTY, TECHNOLOGY and EFFICIENCY.

Wasn't it intesting enough to Carenado with all it has been discussed here about G1000 systems, VNAV, services packs... that now there is another plane to compare with. And it is said that real engineers and pilots have participated...

Humm, it seems AirDailyX is becoming a real reference in FSX/P3D world, great!

Eye Candy or Systems, the debate is on air :)

Good question, maybe it's Feelthere who also did the E-JETS EMBRAER 175 AND 195?

A pity that from a texturing perspective it looks rather poor quality in comparison to the Carenado TBM 850.

A pity that Carenado can't deliver the same system depth, especially since their version is quite a bit more expensive!

it dosent realy matter who there is the developer when ever it´s wilco or Feelthere it´s always FPS hungry so far as wel as anoing side effects so i would be surpriced if this should be an exception.. sorry for being that critical but thos companys is not my cop of tee.. as suport as well is 0. they only blame the end user of having some bad mashine even it´s well above there recomended

It's amazing that in this day and age of the Internet with modern Photoshop capabilities et al, a company like Wilco chooses to post 320 x 600 res images to promote their product. I mean seriously, are these guys for real?

So far I don't recall any pleasant surprises from this publisher, and with an open mind I look forward to them surprising me pleasantly, it would be a first!

One of the other reasons you do not see the same level of excitement I displayed over the Carenado variant...

I can't believe Wilco is still trying to create and sell. These guys didn't understand that thay can NOT create sim product.

I am sure we can merge the Carenado external model with the Wilco interior and systems.

"The large propeller can be utilized as a powerful aerodynamic brake, allowing landing on extremely short strips and runways".

That makes me laugh. According to www.tbm850.com this aircraft can, and I quote "Can slip into a 2,100 ft strip or a mountain runway". It also needs around 2,800 ft to take off.

Compare that with the Real Air Duke Turbine that needs 1,000 ft for take off and 900 ft to land and you can see that performance between the two is a world apart!

The Real Air Duke Turbine wins...ever time.

I'm extremely disappointed with Carenado recently! Every airplane I buy ends up collecting dust in my hangar because performance is just horrible! Completely unflyable. I'm not going to buy another Carenado airplane again until they patch up what I already have. And let me tell you... they won't!

You might wanna send them an email through their support system instead of complaining about it here where they might not read it.

Given my own personal experience with Wilco's customer service my Piaggio still sits in the hangar for lack of support from them and getting the run around. That aircraft was a CLEAR waste of money.

With this thing, I have no confidence and the reason I am buying it at all is to support our readers before they drop cash on it...

This is what you'll expect from Wilco support.

1 year later and still they haven't fixed the CRJ.

Wilco need to hire a texture artist or borrow one from Carenado. I found some so-called high-res images of their upcoming TBM850:

https://freedownload.s3.amazonaws.com/TBM850_Wilco_Pics.zip

Reminds me of aircraft back in Flight Simulator 2002:

Compare this to the Aeroworx B200 from a few flightsim-years ago and even that looks more appealing!

Forget it Wilco! I've also wasted enough money on your rubbish. No more! And forget it Carenado too, I'm not wasting money on the same old systems and inaccuracy either. Just not worth it anymore. The days of taking my money so easily without giving me its value are well and truly over...This money really doesn't grow on trees you know...And I bought plenty of your products until now...I can't believe Carenado's arrogance and Wilco's false advertising and product specs. Thanks so much for testing for us D'andre and your moral reasons for doing so! I only want to spend any extra money on very good worthwhile products that bring me something special.
