FS9/FSX/P3D. Wow it's Monday already? For many in North America today is a major holiday. Not for me though. I'm busy kicking off Monday on ADX with the latest previews from a very busy and talented team: Drzewiecki Design! So let's check out the latest from the BigApple! Wait! Is that Jersey City? Is that Brooklyn? Oh yeah baby! Happy Monday AirDailyX peoples!
More shots here soon:

My CPU is already scared of those countles polygons! :D
Does anybody know if they plan to release the airports seperately for the tube-liners among us, who don't want such a detailed NY skyline?
Yes.
Wow...my CPU just went to OOM heaven :P
BTW you guys should take a look at this...very interesting video:

All about geospatial imaging...
You will have the option to uncheck Manhattan and surrounding areas in the scenery library when flying heavies. If FSX/P3D, this area may be better used for VFR operations such as Helicopters...
Yes but with a little mouth to mouth, CPR, and a tongue kiss, it will come back! I promise! I've done this many times.
BTW, for those of you getting the FS9 version: just be mindful that your rig might actually fart and yawn while running all this in it's sleep.... it's really disrespectful...
Will it have night lights, and are all the buildings landable?
:)
I'm not going to say a word :) , I just hope you're enjoying creating it, looks amazing!
Goddamnit! How is this even possible!!..
Yes to question 1.
To question 2: Yes for those with helipads.
I for one am looking forward to this!
There is no way they modelled and textured all those building themselves.
Looks great, but can't help but notice how all buildings have all kinds of weird angles ans slanted walls. It's as if they are collectively drunk, even though you don't really see it from afar. Close-up, though, it's pretty visible (such as in the second-from-top image).
I noticed that too on some of the smaller buildings. I suppose they did not break their backs on the smaller buildings and put more focus on the larger buildings and landmark buildings...
But with that said, remember, the images here do not reflect the final product. Still in alpha with a lot of work to do...
Ok, that sounds good to me! Thanks for the reply! :)
I think the best payware AC to manage this scenery in its entirety will be MQ8-400, Air Can, Usair and United/Contin
This may be the most detailed scenery for FSX...how detailed is the Manhattan? is every building present? 100% or 95%?
100% is just impossible. i visit NY on a regular bases and there are several buildings being taken down, built, renovated. And in some cases, new buildings being build on top of older buildings. And construction moves extremely fast. So its just not possible nor feasible. But without a doubt, well over 90% is present.
In either case, you have to commend the team on what they have accomplished, as you say, even at 90%, it's probably one of the most, if not the most, detailed scenery yet created for FSX.
Oh my...As a die-hard FS9ner I can say...well I can't say anything really because I just stepped on my jaw and need to wash it off.
This plus LaGuardia plus KBOS plus CYUL...in my little King Air... wee-hee!!!
What a fun little corridor that will be now. I do wonder how this will fair in comparison to Aerosoft's FS9 Manhattan...
Very exciting news!
VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE!
Looks fantastic..but you know, those tall buildings really away in the wind, they'd better have wind-flex ;)
LMAO!!! I love it!
In real life, you do not actually see the buildings sway in the wind. So whereas the buildings will have wind-flex in FSX, in order to make it realistic, you will not be able to actually see it.
Wow impressive. I'd say they are using that geo-spatial image and shape files to produce this. in theory, IF the data was all readily avaialble, and with the right software, you could knock something like this out in an hour... then a couple more nights or a couple weeks to refine it further...
AFAIK no night lighting though, like Miami.
It looks too grey. BUt, it doesn't matter. It will never run on my system.
"wind-flex"
:)))
made my day
I think i just pour water on my motherboard & save the grief of trying to run this.
This maybe the only reason why I would learn flight simulation on my free time. Will probably spend money to make sure i can run it with detailed scenery. Very nice!!!
