[HARDWARE] Remember back in the day when Saitek used to have a plethora of game controllers for PC based game applications? We'll at some point, they found the FS category of their product line up to be most profitable and thus choose to hang the entire balance of the company on it's success or failure by making and selling hardware exclusively for flight simulation. Well we just learned Saitek has taken a further step into the FS world with the advent of hardware systems built exclusively for PC flight simulators.
Currently there are 3 trims at 3 different price points and the specs are not bad. But as they appear to be OEM based processors, it may not be worth it if you choose to have an overclock freak-out in the future so customize smartly. Moreover, it looks like JetLine has direct competition. Nice looking rigs. What's your opinion?

If their rigs are anything like their hardware, I can't afford to buy another one every 6 months because the old one breaks.
I have the same specs for almost the half of money!
It's too expensive in my opinion too. I thought those are bundled with the cockpit at this price :)
This stuff is aimed at commercial flight schools, aero clubs and rich real-world pilots for IFR training, most sims for light GA aircraft are like this. Not sure if this one is an approved training device though.
One flight school I know uses a Redbird sim to train IFR procedures to students as it's cheaper and it's a more "controlled" environment, and you can log those hours as part of your IFR training/currency.
I don't really know what you mean. These are just computers at double price. There is no flight simulation gear on this website, even a link or something.
He means because there are options to bundle it with a full working panel
Like the one in the screen above
Ooops, my fault I missed something then.
Lol, so true!
My Saitek X52 has been working hard for 6 years now...& still going strong!
