FSX. HOT TEST: Frames p/second with configured FSX cfg file.
Here's my test: I am using Aerosoft X Extended, along with UNLIMITED layers for my clouds, using OPUS weather engine, REX essential OVERDRIVE along with a 55" screen, AI Traffic set to 20% and VATSIM connected using FSINN, AND im flying over an area of ALPS with photo scenery mesh installed and yet my average frames as you will see in the below pictures (top left corner) are showing average 45-50 frames p/second. The most important thing during this test out of each stable view point, the frames didn't bounce around all over the show, which is key to stable panning and less stutter y blocking when changing your view point.
I have configured FSX.cfg along with using an external JAVA application to control (limit) frames beyond 50, which brings around a whole new level of smoothness to my Sim. So there you have it folks, if you want smoother simulation experiences, even with demanding products such as Aerosoft Airbus X and other addon's such as OPUS, REX ...see the previous POST in the BLOG to follow the steps, if your interested in better frames, more stable system when flying between areas of demanding scenery / memory and graphics.
Cheers,
Darryl
