FSX. It took me a long time before buying Erfurt. The airport parking view was not really good. But that's Aerosoft signature and i finally burned my Visa. For... nothing.
But i am not judging. Everybody needs to eat and developers are all able to progress. I am just suspicious that Erfurt has been developed on Sketchup...
The first sixth shots have been taken with my usual ATI settings, sliders on average.
I am very disappointed by the quality of textures. I was flying on Eiresim Cork yesterday, and the terminal was quite better (and Cork has been released more than two years ago).

It's realy too bas since Erfurt has many charming places. Aerosoft has included animated trolleys, traffic etc...

Once again, here, my ATI settings are at maximum.
I really hope that the editor will think of patch or an update.

I guess Aerosoft have become so big, that they have lost their perspective.
Instead of concentrating on airports that sadly either don't yet exist for FSX/P3D or in very poor quality (Cape Town, Johannesburg, Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport in Mauritius or Seychelles) they churn out rubbish like this.
To me there are only a small group of companies/developers delivering really great "hand-made" quality airports and the rest just seem like "made in China factory grade" efforts.
It's always sad when a company is blinded by money and is no longer able to see and uphold a certain level of quality. I harms the company's reputation and makes them appear greedy.

a corporation is a corporation my friend. Profits its the only purpose.
Profits should NEVER be at the cost of quality and should NEVER cause a company to stray from its mission and vision.
If Audi cars would suddenly do the same, then their sales would spiral downward and the company would suffer the consequences. Aerosoft too has begun suffering the consequences, their REPUTATION has already now been TARNISHED!

I'm totaly agree with the writer of this review, this is a shock in my eyes.
WOW! Even the older version of Erfurt is way better than this. I will not be getting this. Aerosoft should have established better judgement on this one.

Exactly - wow. If this is really not a bug, it looks like FS2000 or freeware FS2004 and it should not be released like this. There is however no really any point of judging Aerosoft in my opinion though... They published and still publish great addons as well, like Yekaterinburg for example. I would say shit happens...
There is however a strange thing which I know from my experience. They used to examine their sceneries (even while republishing) very detaily and if something was not right, they asked developers to make corrections prior to publish a product under Aerosoft brand. I have really no idea how this product was smuggled ;-) Sorry guys (developers) ;-)
In think it is not possible to develop everything to the standards of an Mega Airport Munich or Zurich. Erfurt and its airport are not really important but nice to have.

did you take this pics with max_texture=1024 or max_texture=2048? Somebody told me that the textures are nearly as good as in Heraklion X with max_texture=2048. Can you second that?

In my FSX.CFG, i get texture_max_load=4096
(i keept this way for the beauty of the PMDG NGX..).
Is Max_texture anothe parameter ?

No problem, if we can fix this, if i was wrong i want to know to and change my opinion.
I use an ATI card HD6850. settings as above on the ATI screenshot.
Can it be a problem of installation ?
FSX resolution is 1280 x 1024 by the way.

Hmmmm, don't know if it's a problem of installation, but I have knowledge of at least one other person who has the same bad textures. Even the preview thread in the Aerosoft forum lacks any close up pics. Do you have Heraklion X? How does it look with the same settings as with the Erfurt pics? If Heraklion looks fine, I think it's definately a problem of the Erfurt textures.

So if this so called "developer" guy is stupid- who believes he can make a airport like that, then you have to find and ask him why.

Aerosoft is not guilty on that.
